Slovenian bands  progressives Prospect and black/ industrial Noctiferia.on main stage.

There were  some new bands on the smaller stage at the beach.

Over the years Metalcamp turned to real "metal holidays" as they say, nearly a week of party and music. In the last few years it was possible to see on stage among others:  as a part of metal history Slayer, Nevermore - wonderful heavy metal from Seattle, progressives Opeth, legends Sepultura, Pain - industrial metal from Sweden, Californians Testament, Children Of Bodom -melodical/death/power metal, Dimmu Borgir symphonic/ melodic/black, speed trash Anthrax, Yngwie Malmsteen as neo-classical guitar maestro ...and of course legendary loud "We are Motorhead and we are playing rock'n roll,don't forget us!" And this is only a small part of  the shows.

At the beginning of July starts the fifth Metalcamp, much bigger than at the beginning, but still not one of this huge festivals where you must walk kilometers all around the territory to reach one or another stage. It's just the perfect size to feel comfortable.  Small city Tolmin will be crowded with black-dressed people from everywhere and all ages again.

If you want to catch some tan, you can spend a day on a beach by the river Soca or in the shadow if you don't like to spoil your healthy metal whiteness.... The program brings something interesting for each taste of metal listeners. On stage this time will be In Flames, melodic death metal, Apocalyptica is coming again- last time they brought hail storm and magical rainbow, American Iced Earth, old school Helooween, Meshuggah experimental / avant garde from Sweden, with 8 strings guitar and extremely interesting compositions, always wonderful Opeth and many others.

 "When the music is over, turn out the lights."  No, you can go to the beach bar and for example discuss with new and old friends about music till the sun rises.

That's it, till we are "in life zone". So, see you there.
